Change.org Hate Mail

I setup my Change.org profile some time ago and apparently the hate mongers have been sending messages to people who support Women’s Rights supporters. There are so many women’s issues within that one cause and it is sad that women are still fighting ignorant people just to be accepted as humans with the same rights as men.

“terry jones” sent me a message this morning. Of course said user hasn’t bothered to fill out any information on their profile. What a coward and a miserable excuse for a human to use Change.org or any other group they don’t agree with to attack people while they hide behind anonymity. Here’s the message (copied in it’s entirety with misspellings and all):

Your not real
It is so amusing to see people try to fool the rest of the world that they care about anyone else besides themselves and at the same time be such an advocate of such the contradictory cause such as the killing of a baby while its in the womb. You expose yourself as such fake person when doing so. Its just a way for you to try to fool people into thinking your a good person. Most people see right through it, so quit wasting your time,your unwittingly embarrasing yourself. You should just be honest with yourself and others and quit the fake posturing of being an empathetic, caring person and just admit to being a woman that has the sad ability to kill her own baby. No different than Casey Anthony. Abortion may always have to be legal but it will always be seen as nothing but the ultimate act of shame and selfishness shamefull. And that will never change. “Scout leader”, hah ! , gimme a break. What a phony. This is not the kind of change and hope this site is about. Get lost.

So please, if you are going to send me utter crap like this and spout off please do several things:

1) Use proper grammar and spelling. I can’t take you seriously if you can’t even spell.
2) Don’t try to talk big but hide behind the Internet. It just makes you look like a loser. At least create a fake profile and make an effort.
3) Don’t accuse me of something when you know nothing. I support reproductive rights but until you read this post you wouldn’t have known. The Women’s Rights cause is for equal pay, sexual discrimination, exploitation, and a load of other stuff. All of those things are near and dear to my heart.
4) Realize your pathetic private messages won’t scare me or change my mind, they will only make me more of an advocate toward my chosen cause.

So “terry jones“, feel free to get lost. Oh, and start using spell check.

I am a pro-life advocate but I believe in equal rights for women in matters of pay, respect and opportunities.

"Terry Jones" fails to follow the teachings of Christ "Judge ye not, lest ye be judged." "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." and my favorite, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

I am a Christian but I do not believe in organized religion. It is not the belief that is corrupted it is the religion as it, like all things where people interject their personal feelings, is corrupted.

Change.org is nothing more than a place where people seeking to make some things better gather for like minded idealisms to gather.

"Terry Jones" is nothing more than a hate monger who fails to understand the lessons from the bible.

Thank you for your comment. It is nice to get views from people who may not agree with a position, but can do so without hate & ignorance. And I say that about both sides of the issue because neither side is ever completely innocent.

I definitely have a much different stance than you on abortion. For starters, I refuse to lump it in with "women's rights" as if it's the right to vote. Hopefully, you don't flame me for it (that WOULD be contradictory of you).

That said, trolls like "Terry Jones" piss me off. He won't change anyone because no one changes their views on subjects like this without it being a completely intrinsic epiphany. Furthermore, even if he changed one person's mind, the fact remains that it's completely futile because millions of others will continue to do things that cheese him off.

People need to wake up and quit intimidating others on silly things like social issues. These are things that need to be taken up with government. Maybe Terry's just pissed that taking it up with the government won't do a whole lot of good with a Democrat-controlled Congress and White House.

Kudos to you for standing up for what you believe in and not letting morons get the best of you.

I agree, I think many of the Women's Rights issues need to be separated. I think the only real way to tackle any of them is to focus on them as individual issues. There are too many times that issues lose ground and focus because they get lumped in together.
"Terry Jones" is just one of those people who only support the Right to Free Speech if it is speech they agree with.
