I am a maker, a doer, and an open sourcer and this is my launchpad. You can call me linuxchic or C.
I am more a ranter than a writer. I am an interpretive fiber artist, I craft, I braindump, I twitter and tweet, and I ravel a lot.
I have been been teaching public technology classes since 1996. In the 90s I organized local chapters of Linuxchix and Webgirls. I taught local continuing education courses for kids, adults, parents and seniors in a local community college until 1999. I hosted the Alternageek podcast from 2007-2008 and presented two WordPress workshops at Podcamp Midwest. I have been a sysadmin since the 90s.
In 2006 I discovered fiber and slowly fell into an obsession with it. I had a hardcore tech burnout in 2008 and delved into fiber crafts with all of my soul. I haven’t looked back since. I knit, crochet, spin, dye and do it all with a nerdy joyous passion. I do stuff with WordPress & Gimp and still live in the land of hackery & open source.
