From Slashdot:
“The Fedora Project, the project behind the Fedora Core Linux distribution, has introduced Fedora Women, a program to reach out to women who are interested in using and contributing to Fedora Core. This follows in the footsteps of LinuxChix, Debian Women, and Ubuntu Women and is part of a larger trend to support women in the FOSS world. For my random thought of the day…. (more…)
Recently I sold out and created an annoying MySpace page just so I am not left out of that ridiculous craze. I typically don’t mind being left out, but I get bored sometimes. Although I don’t need to have my self-worth validated by how many friends I have on MySpace, it does make me feel like a loser to only have four. I mean, look at some of these horrible displays of web design that MySpace propagates. But as awful and as laughable as these profiles are, the users still have over 100 friends (sometimes even 1000s). I suppose my page just isn’t annoying enough yet. Next up, sparkles? I don’t think I have it in me. Besides, I have sold out enough for one week, I have a blogsite. Isn’t that enough?!
A quick replacement for all mobloggers who want to post without all the footers cell providers put in the emails from their customer’s phones. Created for T-Mobile users It might work for other providers where they put in a footer after the image.
The original version of this (by Ryan Duff) can be found here. A modified version to have the thumbnail functionality of Keitai Mail with a few other little tweaks can be found here. A friend of mine has further patched it up for me because it was letting the footer images through (even though it isn’t supposed too). This revision has only been tested on T-Mobile carrier. If you want it, download it here…
